Can You Send Money From PayPal to Cash App?

You can send money from PayPal to Cash App if you link your Cash App debit card to your PayPal account and transfer money to your card. Alternatively, if you do not have your debit card connected, you can send funds from PayPal to your bank account and then from your bank account to Cash App.

Unfortunately, PayPal does not offer a direct integration that allows money to be sent from PayPal to Cash App. So, any users of both PayPal and Cash App that want to send money from PayPal to Cash App will need to use one of these two available methods.

PayPal vs Cash App

The main difference between PayPal and Cash App is that PayPal supports international transfers to users anywhere in the world while Cash App only supports transfers to users in the United States and the United Kingdom.

Additionally, it’s important to note that PayPal has few limitations on transfer amounts while Cash App enforces strict limits on the amount of money that users can send and receive each month.

That said, PayPal does charge very high fees for transfers, including international transfers and currency conversion. Comparatively, Cash App does not charge transfer fees and does not add an additional exchange rate on top of the main foreign conversion rates offered by banks.

How Do I Send Money to Cash App?

To send money to Cash App you will first need to connect a bank account to your Cash App account. After a bank account is connected to your account, you can login to your account and select “Add Cash” from the “Money” tab on the home screen.

Alternative Transfer Options

While Cash App is a convenient way to send money, you may want to consider some of the other alternatives. With this in mind, we share information on both traditional bank accounts and PayPal as a means to send money below.

Send Money via PayPal

To send money via PayPal you will first need to login to your PayPal account. Next, you will need to insert the credentials of the person that you want to send money to. This will be followed by inserting the payment details and choosing your payment type.

It’s worth noting that if you have your Cash App debit card added to your PayPal account as one of the payment methods, you will be able to use this as one of the available options.

Transfer Money via Bank Account

To transfer money via a bank account you will either need to visit a branch in person or login to the bank’s digital banking platform through your device. If you have not sent money to the recipient before, you may need to add them as a recipient. Once the recipient is added to your account, you can proceed with scheduling the transfer.

Importantly, most banks offer a number of different transfer options. These options include ACH when sending money domestically and wires for international transfers. That said, depending on where you are in the world, there are a wide variety of networks and applicable fees that may be used when sending transfers.

Also, it’s worth noting that the fees charged can range from as low as $15 per transfer to up to several hundred. So, it’s important for you to consider all applicable fees before scheduling a transfer.
